About Avia Club Nepal
Avia Club Nepal is Pokhara's pioneering ultralight aircraft operator, running scenic powered flights from Fewa Airport (the old domestic airport) since 1996. Unlike paragliding, these flights use small two-seat ultralight aircraft, so guests can climb higher and travel further to reach the heart of the Himalaya rather than circling the lake.
The fleet of delta-wing ultralights is fitted with ballistic parachute safety systems and flown by experienced pilots. Avia Club offers a tiered menu of flights: a 15-minute "Fly for Fun" introduction, a 30-minute flight focused on Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), a 60-minute mountain-range sky trek, and a 90-minute journey deep into the high peaks. Each route reveals a different mix of lakes, river valleys and snow summits from the open cockpit.
With roughly three decades of operation, Avia Club is the established name for powered scenic flights in Pokhara and a popular alternative for travellers who want guaranteed altitude, longer airtime, and front-row views of the Annapurna massif without the physical demands of trekking. Flights run morning and afternoon depending on weather and visibility.
