About Big Al's Methven
Big Al's Methven is a family-owned snow and bike shop in The Square, Mt Hutt Village, Methven, trading since 1986. In winter it opens daily from 7am to 7.30pm.
It hires skis, snowboards, clothing, goggles, gloves, helmets, toboggans, snowblades and car chains. Outside school holidays it does not charge for days you don't use if plans change or the mountain closes.
In summer it hires e-bikes, full suspension, hardtail and kids' bikes, with drop-off and pick-up at Mt Hutt Bike Park, plus disc golf discs. Rentals are booked through its online store.
