Blauer Ski & Board has been a family-owned institution on Big Bear Boulevard since 1975, when two self-described ski-bum brothers started renting toboggans and skis out of their grandfather's tiny real estate office. More than four decades and over half a million renters later, Blauer's has grown into a 10,000-square-foot shop — the largest ski and snowboard store in the Big Bear Valley — now operated by the second generation of the Blauer family.
The rental fleet covers everything from entry-level ski and snowboard packages to high-end demo skis and performance boards, all updated each season to keep gear current. Helmets, clothing layers, and accessories are available to add on, and the in-house workshop handles waxing, edge tuning, and binding adjustments while you wait. A second location at 41843 Big Bear Blvd expands capacity during peak holiday weekends.
