Founded over 30 years ago by Cheryl Bransford and now operated by veteran guide Sky Wilson since 2019, the family-friendly operation has introduced thousands of visitors to the backcountry on well-trained horses that handle everything from gentle meadow walks to mountain ridge traverses.
The ride menu covers a range of durations and terrains — from 1.5-hour introductory rides perfect for first-timers to half-day and full-day backcountry adventures that reach alpine viewpoints overlooking Payette Lake and the Salmon River Mountains. They also offer evening dinner rides with a campfire meal, horse-drawn wagon rides for groups, and pony rides for children five and under who aren't quite ready for the saddle. The operation runs from late May through mid-September, six days a week.
