About Bungarra Alpine Centre
Bungarra Alpine Centre is a purpose-built mountain bike trail facility and group accommodation centre set on a private bush block just five minutes from central Jindabyne. The property features over 20 kilometres of professionally constructed mountain bike trails that cater to all abilities, from flat family-friendly loops to technical switchbacks and rock gardens that challenge advanced riders.
Trails are colour-graded green, blue, and black following international standards, plus four dedicated skills areas where riders can practise specific techniques before hitting the trails. Day passes are available for public riding at a small fee, with the trail network open from October through June each year. The centre also offers group lodging across four bush lodges that accommodate school groups, sports teams, and multi-family getaways with self-catering kitchens and direct trailside access.
Bungarra fills an important gap in the Jindabyne mountain biking scene by offering a controlled, well-maintained trail network on private land where riders can progress at their own pace without sharing trails with hikers or vehicles. The varied terrain and purpose-built skills zones make it particularly popular for families and intermediate riders looking to build confidence before tackling the region's more challenging public trails.
