About Chasin' Tales Fishing Charters
Chasin' Tales Fishing Charters is a specialist inshore and backcountry fishing guide service run by Captain Geoff Crouse out of the City Docks at Crayton Cove in Naples. Established in 2009, the operation focuses exclusively on light-tackle and fly fishing in the mangrove estuaries, oyster bars, and grass flats stretching from Naples Bay south through the Ten Thousand Islands — some of the most productive backwater fishery in the Gulf.
Trips target snook, redfish, spotted seatrout, tarpon, and juvenile goliath grouper depending on the season, with the captain adjusting tactics and locations based on tide, wind, and water temperature. Both conventional spinning tackle and fly rods are supplied, and the captain welcomes complete beginners as well as experienced anglers looking for sight-fishing opportunities on the flats. Half-day and full-day charters are available, plus nearshore and offshore trips for grouper and snapper when conditions line up.
Captain Geoff's local knowledge of the backcountry is what separates Chasin' Tales from the dock-based charter operations. He poles a shallow-draft flats boat into skinny water that bigger boats simply cannot reach, putting clients on fish in spots that see very little pressure. Reviews consistently highlight his patience with beginners and his ability to find fish even on tough days.
