About Chundukwa River Lodge
Chundukwa River Lodge sits on the banks of the upper Zambezi about 25 kilometres above Victoria Falls, and is best known for the oldest riding stables in the Livingstone area. Its Chundukwa Horse Trails run rides for every level, from short beginner outings along the floodplain to longer trails for confident riders, all threading through riverine bush and open grassland close to the water.
The stables are home to a sizeable string of horses, and rides are matched to ability so that novices and experienced riders can be catered for separately. Because the trails follow the quiet stretch of river well upstream of the tourist bustle, riders often encounter game and birdlife along the banks in a peaceful setting far removed from the Falls crowds.
