About Coastline Kitesurfing
Coastline Kitesurfing is a dedicated kitesurfing school based in Blouberg, Cape Town, offering structured lessons at the city's best wind spots along the Atlantic coast. With teaching locations in Blouberg, Big Bay, and Langebaan lagoon, they match each session to conditions and student ability — beginners typically start in the flat, shallow waters of Langebaan while intermediate riders progress to the wave breaks of Blouberg beach.
Their course structure ranges from a single-day introduction through to a five-day master course, with each lesson running approximately three hours. All equipment is provided, including kites, boards, harnesses, wetsuits, and helmets. Instructors are IKO-certified and work with small groups to ensure personalised attention. They also offer stand-up paddleboarding rentals and lessons for days when the wind drops below kiting threshold.
Coastline's edge is their flexibility and local knowledge — rather than being locked to one beach, they shuttle students to whichever spot has the best conditions on any given day. Cape Town's consistent south-easterly trade winds between October and March make it one of the world's premier kitesurfing destinations, and Coastline has built a strong reputation for getting beginners up and riding in the shortest possible time.
