Current Works Guide Service is a premier fly fishing outfitter operated by Ted Kraimer, an FFF Certified Casting Instructor who has spent decades guiding anglers across Northern Michigan's finest rivers. Based in Traverse City, the service focuses on the Manistee, Betsie, and Boardman Rivers — some of the Midwest's most productive trout and salmon waters.
They offer half-day and full-day guided float trips targeting trout, steelhead, salmon, and smallmouth bass depending on the season. All equipment is provided, including rods, reels, flies, and waders, making it accessible for complete beginners and rewarding for experienced fly fishers. Full-day trips include lunch, snacks, and beverages, while half-day outings come with snacks and drinks. Individual, group, and family trips are all available.
