About DS Charter Services
DS Charter Services is a guided sport-fishing operation based out of Washburn, Wisconsin, working the trophy waters of Chequamegon Bay and the greater Apostle Islands region of Lake Superior. Captain Josh Brzezinski, a US Coast Guard certified captain, hosts small groups of one to four anglers on personalized trips built around the day's conditions.
Fishing takes place aboard a fully equipped Grady White 265 Express, a proven deep-V hull that handles Lake Superior's moods while keeping guests comfortable in the cabin between bites. Charters run as five-hour half days or eight-hour full days, trolling for the lake's diverse cold-water species — lake trout, salmon, and brown trout among them — with all rods, tackle, and expertise provided. The season follows the open-water calendar from late spring into fall, with the protected bay offering fishable water even when the big lake kicks up.
With a four-angler cap, every trip stays personal: guests get real instruction on trolling technique, unhurried time on the rod, and a captain focused entirely on their boat rather than a fleet.
