About GForce Paragliding
GForce Paragliding is New Zealand's first and longest-running commercial tandem paragliding operation, launching from the top of the Skyline Gondola on Bob's Peak since 1991. They hold an exclusive permit to fly over central Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu, making them the only paragliding company that can offer aerial views directly above the town, the lake, and the surrounding mountain amphitheatre.
Each tandem flight pairs you with a highly experienced pilot for a gentle launch from the grassy slope at the top of the gondola. Flights typically last 8 to 12 minutes depending on conditions, soaring above Queenstown Bay before landing smoothly at the waterfront reserve below. They offer early-bird, standard, and sunset flight times, with the golden hour flights being especially popular for the dramatic light over The Remarkables.
