About H&M Landing
H&M Landing is the West Coast's oldest continuously operating sportfishing company, welcoming anglers to San Diego's Point Loma waterfront since 1935. From their docks on Emerson Street, they run one of the largest and most diverse fishing fleets in Southern California, with boats heading out daily for everything from half-day coastal trips to multi-day long-range expeditions deep into Baja waters.
Their fleet covers half-day, three-quarter-day, full-day, overnight, 1.5-day, and multi-day trips targeting yellowtail, bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, dorado, wahoo, lingcod, rockfish, and more. They also offer whale-watching cruises during grey whale season (December–April) and private charter options for groups. Tackle rental and bait are available on-site, making it easy for visitors to show up and fish.
With nearly 90 years of continuous operation, H&M Landing has earned a reputation as the go-to landing for serious anglers and first-time fishers alike. Their captains know the local waters inside and out, and the landing's fish-count board — updated daily — gives customers a real-time look at what's biting before they book.
