About Kermit Siargao Surf Camp
Kermit Siargao is one of the longest-running surf camps and schools on Siargao Island, based on Tourism Road in General Luna just minutes from the famous Cloud 9 reef break. Starting out teaching visitors to surf back in 2010, it has grown into a full surf-and-stay destination that pairs professional coaching with beachside accommodation, and remains a first stop for many travellers chasing their first wave in the Philippines' surfing capital.
The camp offers two-hour private surf lessons with a 1:1 or 1:2 instructor ratio, half-day surf packages with two guided sessions, and its signature Sleep-Eat-Surf packages that bundle accommodation at The Henry Resort, meals, twice-daily lessons, motorbike rental and airport transfers into 3, 5 and 7-night stays. Every lesson covers surf fundamentals and ocean safety, includes board rental, and provides transport to the break best suited to conditions and skill level, from beginner-friendly Jacking Horse to Cloud 9 itself.
What sets Kermit apart is the depth of its local knowledge and its all-in-one immersive format — guests can arrive with nothing and leave a confident surfer, having been fed, housed and coached the entire way. Peak surf season runs September to March, and the team's long tenure on the island means students are matched to the right wave for the day rather than pushed into conditions beyond their ability.
