About Kuta Lombok Surf School
Kuta Lombok Surf School operates out of Kuta, the laid-back surf town on Lombok's south coast that has become the island's adventure hub. The school specialises in coaching beginner and intermediate surfers on the gentle, forgiving reef and beach breaks that surround the bay, while also guiding confident surfers to less-crowded lineups.
Lesson options include Ocean Surf and Surf Vibes packages across beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, private one-on-one sessions, a Kids Surf Fun class for under-8s, and a surf-guide service for experienced surfers who just need local knowledge and transport. Every lesson includes surfboard, UV-protective shirt and leggings, hotel pickup and drop-off, and boat transport out to the breaks. Two-hour water sessions follow a 20-minute beach briefing, and a full-day trip to Ekas delivers two surf sessions plus a beach BBQ lunch. An in-house photographer can capture the session for an extra fee.
The school keeps groups small — one to two students per coach — so surfers get plenty of individual attention and fast progression.
