About Parasail Virgin Islands
Parasail Virgin Islands is the premier parasailing operator in the U.S. Virgin Islands, launching from Sapphire Marina on St. Thomas's east end. Owner and captain Mike Keller arrived in the islands in 2007 to crew for an existing parasail company and eventually built his own operation into one of the most popular excursions in the territory.
Flights run from two purpose-built 35-foot Ocean Pro parasail boats designed for stability and smooth launches. Guests can fly solo, tandem, or in a triple harness at heights up to 600 feet, with the entire ride lasting roughly 10 to 12 minutes in the air. From altitude, the panoramic views stretch across St. Thomas, St. John, the British Virgin Islands, and the deep blue of the Caribbean shelf drop-off. No experience is needed — the winch system means takeoff and landing happen directly from the boat deck, so you never even get wet unless you want to.
Captain Mike also offers parasailing from St. John and St. Croix on request, but the Sapphire Marina base on St. Thomas is the flagship location. The crew keeps the vibe fun and relaxed, and they are well-practised at calming nervous flyers. With consistently glowing reviews and a near-perfect TripAdvisor rating, Parasail Virgin Islands is the obvious pick for anyone wanting a bird's-eye view of the islands.
