About Rocky Mountain Riders
Rocky Mountain Riders is Golden's dedicated snowmobile tour and rental operation, based right at Kicking Horse Resort and running guests into the deep powder of the surrounding alpine all winter long. With access to expansive backcountry riding areas in the Purcell and Rocky Mountain ranges, the company offers some of the most reliable sledding conditions in the region from December through April.
Tours are tiered for every level, from gentle half-day outings for first-timers to extreme backcountry adventures, intermediate trips, evening moonlight rides, skills-training days and guide-only options for experienced riders bringing their own machines. The modern rental fleet includes current Ski-Doo models such as the Expedition and Summit Turbo, and all guided tours come with helmets, boots, snowsuits and avalanche gear plus a certified guide. In the warmer months the operation pivots to ATV and side-by-side rentals, extending mountain access into summer and fall.
Operating directly from the resort base makes Rocky Mountain Riders exceptionally convenient for visitors already in Golden for skiing, and its full kit-out service means guests need bring nothing but warm layers.
