About Screaming Reels Sportfishing
Screaming Reels Sportfishing is a sport fishing charter launching from Playa Manzanillo and Playa Angelito in Puerto Escondido. Owned and captained by Yoni, who has more than 14 years of fishing experience in these waters, the operation combines serious offshore fishing with marine wildlife tours along the Oaxacan coast.
Fishing trips target prized Pacific species including mahi-mahi (dorado), marlin, sailfish and yellowfin tuna, using natural bait and following a catch-and-release ethic — all fish are released unless guests want to keep them to eat. The same vessels run dolphin watching trips featuring bottlenose and spinner dolphins, sea turtles and seabirds, plus seasonal whale watching from December through March. Both private boat rentals and shared group expeditions are available.
Screaming Reels stands out for its experienced owner-operator and its conservation-minded approach to fishing.
