About Deep Blue Dive
Deep Blue Dive is a PADI dive school on Playa Zicatela in Puerto Escondido, founded in 2003 by PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer Lorenzo Bini. Based inside the well-known Hotel Inés on Zicatela beach, it is one of the longest-running dive operations on the Oaxacan coast and introduces visitors to the rich marine life of the Pacific waters off Puerto Escondido.
The school offers the full range of PADI courses from beginner to professional, including Discover Scuba Diving, Open Water, Advanced, Rescue, Emergency First Response and Divemaster. For certified divers there are daily single and double-tank dives, night dives and specialty dives, while non-divers can join three-hour snorkeling boat tours aboard the Black Marlin to see dolphins and other marine wildlife. Sport fishing trips round out the offering.
Deep Blue's appeal lies in its experience and personal, safety-first teaching philosophy — diving "with love for the ocean and respect for the rules of safety." Courses are run privately or semi-privately and tailored around guests' vacation schedules, and the on-site Hotel Inés accommodation makes it easy to combine lodging with a multi-day course.
