About Split The Mountain
Split The Mountain is a licensed Bulgarian mountain-guiding company specialising in freeride, splitboard and ski touring across the Pirin range and the wider Balkans. The team describes itself as the first professional splitboard mountain guides in Bulgaria, with more than 25 years of riding experience between them and certifications spanning UIMLA, ISIA and the Bulgarian Mountain Guides Association.
Their winter programme covers off-piste and backcountry guiding, splitboard and ski-touring missions, multi-day avalanche-safety and backcountry courses, snowshoeing and alpine climbing. In summer the same guides lead trekking, rock climbing and via-ferrata, and the company also runs expedition-style trips to destinations such as Gulmarg, Chamonix and the Himalayas for guests who want to go further.
