About Sun N' Sup
Sun N' Sup is a paddleboard and beach shop in the lakeside village of Naramata, about 15 minutes from downtown Penticton. Founded in 2010, the shop is housed in a converted old garage and gas station at 176 Robinson Avenue, across the street from the Naramata General Store. Owner Eileen Meehan brings more than 40 years of experience from the ski and sportswear industry.
The focus is stand-up paddleboarding. The shop rents paddleboards by the hour, day, or week, and also rents a small number of kayaks. Lessons range from intro classes to technique sessions, with youth camps and a regular Village SUP night for local paddlers. Shoppers can demo a board before buying, and the store stocks boards, accessories, and beachwear. The shop is open from mid-April through late September, with winter visits by appointment. Summer rentals are best booked ahead.
Launching from Naramata gives paddlers access to two quiet bays on Okanagan Lake with less boat traffic than the Penticton waterfront, which makes it a comfortable spot for beginners. Customers often mention the quality of the boards and the knowledgeable staff, and the village setting is an easy add-on to a Naramata Bench wine day.
