About Sundive Byron Bay
Sundive is Byron Bay's original scuba diving operator, running dive trips to Julian Rocks Marine Reserve since 1989. With over three decades of continuous operation, Sundive has arguably the deepest local knowledge of any dive operator on the Northern Rivers coast. Their shop and classroom are centrally located in Byron Bay, and their purpose-built dive boat departs from the harbour daily, reaching Julian Rocks in under ten minutes. The company caters to certified divers, snorkellers, and complete beginners looking to take their first breaths underwater.
The dive menu includes single and double boat dives at Julian Rocks for certified divers, introductory resort dive experiences for first-timers, and a full range of PADI certification courses from Open Water through to Divemaster. Snorkelling trips to Julian Rocks are also offered for non-divers who want to experience the marine reserve from the surface. Julian Rocks is home to an extraordinary diversity of marine species — grey nurse sharks, leopard sharks, manta rays, turtles, wobbegong sharks, eagle rays, and hundreds of species of reef fish inhabit the granite boulders and surrounding sand flats year-round.
