About Tukino Skifield

Tukino Skifield is a club field on Mt Ruapehu, reached by the Tukino Access Road off the Desert Road (SH1), 46 km south of Turangi and 22 km north of Waiouru. Past the lower car park the road is 4WD only.

Three clubs manage the field and it is open to the public, run on a volunteer model since the 2025 season. It has three nutcracker rope tows, cat skiing, lessons and three club lodges. There is no food service, and day lift passes are sold online.
