About YellowSub Tarifa Diving
YellowSub Tarifa is a PADI dive centre offering scuba diving and courses in the waters around Tarifa, including the protected Isla de las Palomas natural area at the southernmost tip of mainland Europe. Departing from the port of Tarifa, the centre explores a meeting point of the Atlantic and Mediterranean that is unusually rich in marine life thanks to the strong currents of the Strait of Gibraltar.
The centre runs the full range of PADI training, from beginner Discover Scuba and Open Water courses through to advanced and specialty certifications, alongside guided dives for certified divers. Dive sites around the Isla de las Palomas marine reserve feature rocky reefs, kelp, and abundant fish life shaped by the nutrient-rich currents. Equipment rental, air fills and small-group guided dives are available, with instructors tailoring outings to conditions and experience levels.
YellowSub stands out for its access to one of the most biodiverse and current-swept dive environments in southern Spain, an area many visitors overlook in a town focused on wind sports. With PADI-certified instruction, a convenient harbour departure point and knowledge of the best sites for the day's tides and visibility, it offers a compelling underwater complement to Tarifa's above-water adventures.
