About Arco Mountain Guide
Arco Mountain Guide is a boutique alpine guiding service run by certified mountain guides Gino and Giampaolo, based in the world-renowned climbing town of Arco at the northern end of Lake Garda. The operation focuses on personalised, small-group experiences across rock climbing, via ferrata, canyoning, mountaineering, and ski touring in the Sarca Valley, Brenta Dolomites, and surrounding ranges.
Their via ferrata programme alone covers 15 different routes, from the family-friendly Colodri — a short, easy climb with panoramic views over Arco — to the dramatic Cima Capi high above the lake and the technical Che Guevara route at Pietramurata. Rock climbing sessions range from single-pitch introductions at Arco's bolted crags to multi-pitch alpine routes in the Dolomites, and Gino runs structured progression courses for children, teenagers, and adults. Canyoning trips head into the gorges near Brentino Belluno, and winter brings ski touring and mountaineering on the higher peaks.
What makes Arco Mountain Guide stand out is the intimate, guide-led approach — group sizes stay small so instruction is genuinely personal, and Gino's 20-plus years of guiding in the region mean he knows every crag, canyon, and via ferrata like his own back garden. The meeting point at Arco's free Caneve parking area keeps logistics simple for guests staying anywhere around the northern lake.
