About Blue Seafaris
Blue Seafaris is a boutique marine adventure operator running snorkelling and whale watching tours from Brunswick Heads Boat Harbour, just 20 minutes north of Byron Bay. Their purpose-built vessel takes small groups out to Julian Rocks Marine Sanctuary — the Cape Byron Marine Park's crown jewel — where over 1,000 marine species congregate in warm tropical and cool temperate currents.
Their core experiences include guided snorkelling tours at Julian Rocks where guests swim alongside leopard sharks, sea turtles, manta rays, and hundreds of tropical fish species, plus seasonal whale watching cruises and whale swim encounters during the humpback migration. All snorkelling gear is provided, and tours are led by experienced marine guides who brief guests on the ecology and behaviour of the species they'll encounter.
Blue Seafaris' smaller vessel and capped group sizes mean less crowding in the water and more personal attention from guides. Their departure point at Brunswick Heads is a quieter, more relaxed alternative to the busier Byron Bay marina, and the boat ride to Julian Rocks is scenic in itself — passing through the mouth of the Brunswick River and along the coastline.
