Byron Bay Charters is a family-owned fishing and marine tour operation run by skipper Chris Facey, a Brunswick Heads local with over 25 years of boating, fishing, and diving experience in the Cape Byron Marine Park. Operating from Brunswick Heads Boat Harbour, they offer deep sea fishing charters, whale watching cruises, and private boat hire seven days a week.
Their fishing charters target a range of species including snapper, pearl perch, trag, and kingfish on the offshore reefs, with half-day and full-day trips available. During whale season from June to October, they run dedicated whale watching cruises with small group sizes for intimate encounters with migrating humpbacks. Private charters can be customised for fishing, sightseeing, diving drop-offs, or special occasions — the vessel accommodates groups of various sizes.
Chris's deep local knowledge of the reefs, currents, and seasonal fish movements is the key advantage. He's fished these waters his entire life and knows where the fish are on any given day.
