About Corolla Jeep Adventures
Corolla Jeep Adventures is the oldest tour company in Corolla, offering guided wild horse safari tours and off-road Jeep excursions along the northern Outer Banks. Based near the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, the company has been leading visitors into the 4x4-only beaches north of Corolla for years, with access to their own private 400-acre hunt club property.
The signature wild horse tour is a two-hour guided safari in open-air trucks that heads north along the beach to the Carova area, where the famous Colonial Spanish Mustangs roam freely. Guests also have the option to rent a soft-top Jeep and follow the guide on a self-drive adventure. Along the way, the guides share history about the wild horses, the shipwrecks that dot the coast, and the unique ecology of the northern barrier islands.
What sets Corolla Jeep Adventures apart is the self-drive option — few other operators let you get behind the wheel of a Jeep on the beach. Combined with the hunt club access that provides a quieter, more private viewing experience away from the busier public beaches, it is a standout choice for visitors who want an interactive, hands-on adventure rather than a standard bus tour.
