Deep Sea Divers Den is one of the most established dive operations in Cairns, running daily reef trips and multi-day liveaboard expeditions to the Great Barrier Reef from their Draper Street headquarters. With over 40 years of continuous operation, they have developed an extensive knowledge of the outer reef sites and maintain relationships with marine park authorities that give them access to some of the best dive locations available from Cairns, including sites on the famous Ribbon Reefs and Cod Hole.
Their day trip programme visits two outer reef sites aboard a purpose-built dive vessel, with options for snorkelling, introductory dives, and certified diving with up to three dives per trip. The liveaboard programme is where Deep Sea Divers Den truly shines — their multi-day expeditions venture north to the Ribbon Reefs and Osprey Reef in the Coral Sea, where divers encounter pristine walls, pelagic sharks, manta rays, and visibility that can exceed 40 metres. PADI courses from Open Water to Instructor level are available, with the option to complete certification during a liveaboard trip.
Deep Sea Divers Den's longevity in the Cairns dive industry speaks to their consistently high standards of safety, equipment maintenance, and customer service.
