About Forgotten World Adventures

Forgotten World Adventures runs self-drive rail cart trips on the disused Stratford-Okahukura railway line from 9 Hakiaha Street, Taumarunui.

Trips run from a half-day taster to a four-day trip. The full day runs from Taumarunui to Whangamomona, a two-day trip runs between Stratford and Okahukura, and some trips add a Whanganui River jet boat or a helicopter ride.

The 2026/27 season runs from 10 October 2026 to 15 May 2027.
