About Forra Dive Resort & Liveaboard
Forra Dive has been putting divers in the water at Koh Lipe since 1997, which makes it the oldest dive shop on the island. What began as a small French-run operation has grown into a dive resort with rustic bungalows on Sunrise Beach and a second shop just off Walking Street.
The team teaches PADI courses from Discover Scuba through Divemaster and runs daily boat trips to more than 20 sites inside Tarutao National Marine Park, including 8 Mile Rock, Stonehenge, and the Yong Hua wreck. Multi-day liveaboard safaris push out to the far corners of the Adang-Rawi archipelago and quieter sites north toward Koh Bulon, and freediving sessions and snorkeling day trips fill out the schedule.
Nearly three decades of local knowledge show in how the shop operates: captains read the season and the current before choosing sites, groups stay small, and stay-and-dive packages let guests walk from a beachfront bungalow straight onto the morning boat.
