Great Drake Angling & Outdoor Adventures is a professional fishing guide service operated by Josh Adams out of Hyde Park, Vermont, serving the Stowe and northern Vermont region. Josh brings decades of on-the-water experience across Vermont's best trout streams and rivers, specialising in fly fishing for brook, rainbow, and brown trout on the Lamoille River, Winooski River, and the smaller freestone streams that cascade out of the Green Mountains. He also guides trips on the Salmon River in New York for steelhead, king salmon, and coho salmon.
Trip formats include half-day and full-day walk-and-wade outings on smaller streams, drift boat trips on larger river sections where the boat covers miles of productive water, and stillwater trips on Vermont's lakes and ponds. All flies, leaders, and terminal tackle are provided, and rods and waders are available for clients who need them. Josh tailors each trip to the client — beginners get patient casting instruction and stream-reading basics, while experienced anglers get put on technical water with selective fish that demand precise presentations and local fly patterns.
