Ground Rush Adventures, trading as Skydive Swakop, is Swakopmund's premier skydiving centre and one of the most established adventure operators on the Namibian coast. Running tandem jumps and freefall courses since 1997, the drop zone sits where the towering red dunes of the Namib Desert meet the cold Atlantic Ocean — a backdrop few skydiving destinations anywhere in the world can match.
The company specialises in tandem skydives that need no prior experience, strapping first-timers to a qualified instructor for a freefall over the dunes before a canopy ride back to earth. For those wanting to earn their own wings, Ground Rush also offers Accelerated Freefall (AFF) courses and static line progression, along with photo and video packages so jumpers leave with a full record of the leap. All operations run under the Parachute Association of Namibia (PANAM), the sport's governing body.
