About Hydro Attack
Hydro Attack offers one of Queenstown's most unique adventure experiences — a semi-submersible shark-shaped watercraft that dives, breaches, and barrel-rolls across Lake Wakatipu. Inspired by military-grade Seabreacher technology, these purpose-built vessels let riders experience the sensation of being inside a marine predator as it launches out of the water at high speed and plunges beneath the surface.
Each ride lasts around 25 minutes and is piloted by a trained operator while the passenger sits in the front cockpit behind a clear canopy. The craft can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h on the surface and performs a repertoire of manoeuvres including porpoising, diving to two metres below the surface, and full 360-degree barrel rolls. It's an entirely different kind of water experience — part jet boat, part submarine, part fighter jet.
Hydro Attack has become an iconic Queenstown attraction thanks to its one-of-a-kind offering — there is simply nothing else like it anywhere in the world.
