About Shotover Canyon Swing
Shotover Canyon Swing is Queenstown's original canyon swing operation, locally owned and operated since 2002. Perched on the edge of the dramatic Shotover River canyon, this is one of the world's highest cliff jumps — a 109-metre drop that includes 60 metres of freefall before you swing out on a 200-metre arc across the canyon. It's the kind of experience that makes Queenstown the adventure capital of the world.
Jumpers can choose from over 70 different jump styles, ranging from classic forward leaps and backwards falls to more creative options like being released from a chair or launched from a catapult platform. The operation also offers the Canyon Fox, a 182-metre flying fox that soars across the canyon at high speed for those who want the views without the vertical drop. Combo packages let you try both in one session.
