About Kiteboarding Asia Samui
Kiteboarding Asia — known locally as KBA — is Thailand's largest kiteboarding school network, and their Koh Samui branch is one of the most established wind-sport operations in the Gulf of Thailand. They rotate between two seasonal beach locations on the island: Hua Thanon on the south coast from November to March (when the northeast monsoon delivers consistent onshore winds), and Nathon on the west side from April through October during the southwest monsoon season.
KBA offers IKO-certified kiteboarding lessons from first-timer discovery sessions through to advanced freestyle coaching, along with e-foil lessons, wingfoil courses, and equipment rentals for experienced riders. Their gear fleet includes current-model Duotone and Core kites and boards, plus Lift eFoils. Group lessons cap at two students per instructor, and private sessions are available for those who want one-on-one coaching.
With branches across five Thai destinations — Samui, Phuket, Hua Hin, Phangan, and Pattaya — KBA brings a level of operational polish and safety infrastructure that smaller beach shacks can't match. Their multilingual instructor team speaks English, French, Russian, and Thai, and all lessons include liability insurance, safety boat backup, and radio helmet communication.
