About The Dive Academy Samui
The Dive Academy is a PADI 5-Star Instructor Development Centre that has been training divers on Koh Samui since 2002. Based in Bophut near Fisherman's Village, they run daily boat trips to the Gulf of Thailand's best dive sites including Sail Rock, Chumphon Pinnacle, Southwest Pinnacle, and the reefs around Koh Tao and Koh Phangan.
Their course catalogue covers the full PADI range — from Discover Scuba Diving introductions for absolute beginners through Open Water, Advanced, Rescue, and all the way to Divemaster and Instructor programmes. Certified divers can join two-tank fun dive trips or opt for private charters tailored to specific sites. All equipment is manufacturer-maintained and refreshed on a regular cycle, with wetsuits, BCDs, and regulators included in every course and trip price.
The full-time instructor team speaks English, French, German, Spanish, and Russian, and several staff members have been with the academy for over a decade. Small group sizes — typically four divers per instructor on fun dives and two per instructor on courses — ensure individual attention whether you are logging your first dive or your five-hundredth.
