About Off Road NZ
Off Road NZ is a purpose-built off-road adventure park set on the Mamaku Plateau, just 20 minutes from central Rotorua. Established in 1992, they provide self-drive 4WD experiences through native bush and volcanic terrain, including the famous Monster 4X4 Thrill Ride that tackles extreme obstacles with no roof and no doors between passengers and the wilderness.
Their adventure lineup includes the Monster 4X4 Thrill Ride (a guided passenger experience over extreme terrain features like The Widow Maker and The Log Climb), self-drive 4WD Bush Safaris where guests navigate purpose-built tracks through native forest in modified Land Rovers, and Raceline Karting on a dedicated outdoor circuit. Combo packages let visitors experience multiple activities in a single session. All experiences include full safety briefings and equipment, with professional guides supervising every run.
