About Oregon Beach Rides
Oregon Beach Rides is a family-run horseback riding outfitter operating under contract with Oregon State Parks at Nehalem Bay State Park, just 15 minutes south of Cannon Beach. Since 2009, the company has been leading guided rides along the beach, sand dunes, and forest trails that border Nehalem Bay — one of the most scenic stretches of the north Oregon coast.
Rides are offered in one-hour and two-hour formats, with options for morning, afternoon, and sunset departures. All rides are guided and suitable for beginners as well as experienced equestrians, with well-trained horses matched to each rider's ability. The minimum age is six, and riders must be able to mount with minimal assistance. Oregon Beach Rides also offers carriage rides through the park for guests who prefer a more relaxed experience.
The appeal of Oregon Beach Rides is the setting: riding at the edge of the surf with ocean spray and panoramic views of the coastline, then winding through coastal dune grass and Sitka spruce forest. It's a unique way to experience the Oregon Coast that you can't get from a car or a hiking trail. Reservations are required, and the team is responsive by phone from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
