About Kayak Tillamook
Kayak Tillamook is the north Oregon coast's premier guided kayaking service, offering year-round flat-water tours across seven estuaries, bays, rivers, and sloughs throughout Tillamook County. Founded by guide Marc, the operation takes an environmentally conscious approach to exploring some of the most biodiverse waterways on the Pacific coast, from Nehalem Bay to Tillamook Bay and beyond.
Scheduled tours run about two and a half hours — 30 minutes of on-land instruction followed by two hours on the water — and include a professional guide, kayaks, paddles, PFDs, and all necessary gear. Private tours can be arranged for individuals, couples, and groups of all sizes, with routes customised to the group's experience level and interests. The calm inland waterways make these tours accessible to complete beginners while still offering wildlife encounters — eagles, herons, seals, and elk are regular sightings — that thrill experienced paddlers.
What distinguishes Kayak Tillamook is the depth of local knowledge Marc and his guides bring to every paddle. They know the tides, the seasonal wildlife patterns, and the hidden channels that most visitors would never find on their own. For Cannon Beach and Seaside visitors looking for a guided water experience beyond the surf, Kayak Tillamook delivers an authentic, low-impact adventure on the coast's quieter waterways.
