PB Surf Shop has been operating on the Pacific Beach boardwalk since 1962, making it the oldest surf shop and surf school in San Diego. Current owner Randy Strunk — a lifelong surfer, open-ocean prone paddler, and outrigger canoe enthusiast — took over in 1993 and has maintained the shop's no-frills, family-oriented character ever since.
