About Scuba Kreta
Scuba Kreta is a PADI-certified dive centre based in Agia Pelagia, a small coastal village about 20 kilometres west of Heraklion. The centre runs daily dive trips to sites along Crete's northern coast, including reef dives, wall dives, and wreck explorations. Their house reef is accessible directly from shore, making it a popular training site for beginners taking their first breaths underwater.
Their course catalogue covers the full PADI range from Discover Scuba Diving taster sessions through to Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver certifications. Experienced divers can join guided boat dives to deeper sites where visibility regularly exceeds 25 metres and encounters with octopus, moray eels, and grouper are common. All equipment is Aqualung branded and replaced on a regular maintenance cycle.
The dive team at Scuba Kreta includes multilingual instructors who cater to the international visitor mix that Crete attracts. Group sizes are kept small — typically four divers per instructor — ensuring personal attention both during briefings and underwater. Their beachfront location in Agia Pelagia offers easy parking and a relaxed atmosphere between dives.
