About Scuba Libre
Scuba Libre is one of the original dive centers in Playa del Carmen, operating since 1998 from their downtown base on Calle 4 Norte. Over more than two decades, they have expanded to four locations — including outposts at Sandos Caracol Eco Resort, Sandos Playacar, and Palmaia House Of AiA — making them one of the most accessible dive operations on the Riviera Maya.
They run a full menu of PADI courses from Discover Scuba through Divemaster, daily two-tank reef dives on Playa del Carmen's barrier reef, cenote excursions to the region's most spectacular underground river systems, and snorkeling trips for non-divers. Their Cozumel dive packages include boat transfer, so guests skip the public ferry. Gear rental is available at all four locations, and their shop carries a solid selection of accessories and replacement parts.
