About Skaha Rock Adventures
Skaha Rock Adventures is a rock climbing and mountain school based in Penticton, with an office at 113-437 Martin Street. The company celebrated its 33rd year in business in 2025, and it works primarily at the Skaha Bluffs, a provincial park just south of town known for more than a thousand single-pitch routes on warm, dry rock.
Programs start with introductory days for people who have never tied in and progress through rappelling, sport lead climbing, multi-pitch climbing, and rescue training. The school also runs group adventure days, high-angle ropes courses, backpacking trips, and alpine rock training. Private and semi-private guiding is available for climbers who want a custom day on the bluffs. Staff are guides certified through the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides, and programs run across multiple seasons, with summer dates often filling well in advance.
The long track record and ACMG staffing are the main reasons climbers choose this school. It has earned several Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice awards and nominations from the Penticton Chamber of Commerce, and it offers a clear skills path for anyone who wants to move from a first climb to leading routes on their own.
