About Snowy Wilderness
Snowy Wilderness is a horse riding and eco-adventure retreat set across 7,500 acres of rugged alpine bushland adjoining Kosciuszko National Park, just 29 kilometres south of Jindabyne. The property offers a rare opportunity to explore the High Country on horseback through the same landscapes that inspired Banjo Paterson's poetry, with wild brumby herds still roaming the surrounding ranges.
Rides cater to all experience levels, from gentle two-hour scenic trails for beginners through to full-day mountain treks and multi-day horse riding holidays for confident riders. Additional activities include 4WD touring through remote alpine country, guided bushwalking, brumby watching excursions, and overnight stays in their luxurious eco-friendly lodge accommodation. Summer brings wildflower-dotted meadows while winter transforms the property into a snow-dusted wonderland.
What distinguishes Snowy Wilderness is the sheer scale of the private property and its direct adjacency to the national park, offering an authentic High Country experience without crowds. The resident horses are well-trained and sure-footed on mountain terrain, and the guides possess deep knowledge of local ecology, history, and the brumby herds that call these ranges home.
