About Voss Hang- og Paragliderklubb
Voss Hang- og Paragliderklubb (the Voss Hang and Paraglider Club) is Norway's largest paragliding club, with more than 800 members and a history stretching back to 1976. Based in Voss, it offers commercial tandem paragliding flights that put visitors in the air above one of the country's most striking mountain-and-fjord landscapes, no experience required.
Tandem flights take off from launches reached easily via the Voss gondola, with guests flying alongside certified pilots for roughly 10 to 20 minutes depending on conditions. A standard Voss flight includes gondola or transport access, while a longer scenic flight by the Sognefjord at Aurland is offered when conditions and seasons allow, giving paddlers of the sky a choice of dramatic backdrops.
What makes the club special is the depth of its volunteer expertise and its access to two reliable launch sites by the gondola, with alternatives chosen to suit the day's weather and wind. As a long-established club run by experienced local pilots, it pairs genuine safety culture with the simple thrill of soaring over Voss's peaks, lakes and valleys.
