Winthrop Mountain Sports is a long-standing outdoor shop on Riverside Avenue in downtown Winthrop, specialising in cross-country skiing gear for the Methow Valley's world-class Nordic trail system. Founded more than three decades ago, the shop has become a fixture for local and visiting skiers looking for the right equipment, a precise fit and honest trail advice.
The store rents cross-country skis and snowshoes through an online reservation system that lets guests reserve perfectly fitted, ready-to-go gear for quick pickup before hitting the trails. Their retail range is deep on Nordic gear — classic, skate, backcountry, waxable and metal-edge skis, matched boots, poles, bindings, roller skis, waxes and accessories.
