About Wolf Creek Snowmobile Tours
Wolf Creek Snowmobile Tours is a dedicated winter operator based on Hot Springs Boulevard in downtown Pagosa Springs, guiding riders into the deep, reliable snows of the San Juan Mountains. With Wolf Creek Pass and its legendary snowfall just up the road, the company sits in one of Colorado's premier snowmobiling regions.
The company specializes in guided two-hour tours across five distinct riding areas, each offering a different flavor of the backcountry. Riders can climb groomed trails to the Continental Divide at Wolf Creek Pass, explore more than 40 miles of historic trails along the East Fork of the San Juan toward Elwood Pass, watch for elk in the wide meadows of Jackson Mountain and Turkey Springs, or take in rock formations and town views along Piedra and Plumtaw Roads.
Every tour is led by experienced guides trained in backcountry safety, and trips are structured to accommodate all skill levels — from families and first-time riders to advanced enthusiasts looking for more challenging terrain. Machines and gear are provided, making it easy for visitors to step off the highway and into a guided mountain adventure. The season typically runs from late November into early April, with peak conditions from January through March.
