About Antigua Scuba School
Antigua Scuba School is a boutique dive operation based at Jolly Harbour on Antigua's west coast, run by a small team of Caribbean-born instructors with over 30 years of combined teaching experience. The meeting point is at Sea Dream Restaurant inside the marina, and the operation deliberately keeps things low-key: maximum six divers per boat, no rushed surface intervals, and a teaching philosophy built around patience and personal attention.
They offer PADI and SSI certification courses from beginner to advanced, two-tank guided boat dives on Cades Reef and surrounding sites, dedicated snorkel tours for non-divers, and private boat charters for groups wanting a customised day on the water. Cades Reef — Antigua's premier dive site and part of the National Marine Park — is just 15 minutes by boat, offering walls, coral gardens, and abundant tropical fish life in warm, clear water.
The school's small-group model is its biggest selling point. With a strict cap of six divers, every session feels like a private experience. The instructors are patient, safety-focused, and genuinely passionate about sharing Antigua's underwater world, making it an ideal choice for nervous beginners and families with mixed experience levels.
