About Davy Jones' Locker Diving
Davy Jones' Locker Diving, known around the island as DJL, has been certifying divers on Koh Lipe since 1996. The PADI five-star IDC center sits on Pattaya Beach, about a ten-minute walk from Walking Street and the ferry arrival point, with the dive boats loading right off the sand.
Training spans the whole range: Bubblemaker sessions for kids from age eight, Discover Scuba tries, Open Water through Rescue, and professional-level courses, along with wreck and nitrox specialties and technical dive training. Daily trips visit the soft coral walls of Stonehenge, the deep pinnacle at 8 Mile Rock, the Yong Hua wreck, and the fringing reefs of Koh Adang and Koh Rawi.
DJL trades on a personal approach built over its decades on the island: small groups sorted by experience level and instructors who stay season after season. Kayak and paddleboard rentals and island-hopping boat trips give non-diving companions something to do while the boat is out.
