About Dive Santa Barbara
Dive Santa Barbara, also trading as Sea Landing Dive Center, is the harbor's full-service scuba shop, sitting on West Cabrillo Boulevard next to the public boat ramps. The shop has served California divers for more than 30 years and holds one of the few PADI training facility and Platinum Scubapro dealer combinations in Southern California.
The shop runs the full PADI course ladder, from Basic Open Water through Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox and Divemaster, with pool sessions and local ocean training dives. Rental gear covers the complete kit including regulators, BCDs, wetsuits, tanks and computers, and they hold a deep retail inventory for divers who need to replace something the morning of a trip. Single-day boat charters to the Northern Channel Islands run Thursday through Sunday in the summer season and Friday through Sunday the rest of the year.
The Channel Islands are the draw. Anacapa, Santa Cruz and Santa Rosa sit inside a National Marine Sanctuary with thick kelp forests, resident sea lion colonies and visibility that regularly beats anything on the mainland coast. Dive Santa Barbara books the boats, handles fills and gear, and runs trips at a flat out-the-door price with taxes and park fees included, so divers deal with one operator instead of four.
